Chiropractic care is just as important for the developing nervous system in kids as is it in adults.

The first year of life involves rapid growth and development of your baby’s brain, nervous system and spine which allows for your baby to learn to roll, sit, crawl + more!

What is a kids chiropractor?

Chiropractors can asses your baby’s nervous system, spine, hips and cranial-dural system for any imbalances. These may develop from the birthing process, bumps/falls, positioning preferences or any other stresses. As your child grows and develops bumps and knocks can be a normal part of learning new things, so it is important to have spina checks to keep the spine and nervous system functioning well. 

A thorough history and examination will be completed, and if chiropractic care is advised this will be discussed with the parents. Your chiropractor can also recommend referral to another healthcare practitioner if they believe it would be more appropriate.

Dr Jamie has completed further Paediatric Chiropractic training and provides gentle chiropractic care that is specially tailored to the age and presentation of your child.

The aim of Chiropractic care in children is to free the spine and other joints of any imbalances to allow for the nervous system to function at its best which is important for further development of the child.
